FREE server space is a nice way of reducing the cost, but in the long run, you get what you pay for.
Many Internet Service Providers provide FREE web space when you get internet access from them. These can be bad because:
- Usually, you can't use a top level domain name, so your web site address ends up being something like http://www.aol.com/YourName/index.html and you don't look professional.
- Most internet service providers, if they provide FREE server space, is not nearly enough for even a small website
- You almost always have limited bandwidth
Once your web site hits the bandwidth limit, then you have to buy more to keep your web site open
